In the aftermath of the bombing of Dresden, Germany, 1945
Roman Catholic German Hans von der Heide was a combat veteran of the German military. In 1985 he related to Michael Hoffman on videotape, that after the war he and his fellow soldiers were held captive in an American POW camp and were shown atrocity photos of German crimes. One of the photos was said to be of “Jewish victims of Auschwitz.” The photo shown was the one we have reproduced above. Mr. Von der Heide told us that one of the German soldiers present knew Saxony well and shouted to the American in charge of their re-education session, “Those are the dead of Dresden, not Auschwitz!”

Background: When he was 77, British historian David Irving gave a speech in London on July 24, 2015 on the so-called “battle of Britain," to an audience of 120 at the four-star Rembrandt hotel.
This brilliant talk can be viewed at the link above. The controlled media declare that Irving is a “disgraced” author, but in this lecture one sees a champion of suppressed truth, on his steed jousting full tilt at the reigning stupidities that pass for “proven fact” in this new dark age, in which the sacred dogmas of Talmudism and Zionism hold dominion over the mind of man as surely as papalolatry once did.
Mr. Irving addressed the question of who began the bombing of cities during World War II. His subject is the perfidy of Winston Churchill and a correction of received opinion concerning the standard account of the Nazi bombing of Britain, Rotterdam and Guernica.
We have had the privilege of being acquainted with this eminent historian since 1985 and have heard him speak many times. His presentation in London in 2015 is among his best. He is at his ease and his sense of wit is spontaneous and refreshing in light of what he has endured (more than a year in prison in Austria for a speech much like the one he gave in 2015; impoverishment, physical assaults and relentless libel in the media).
Hollywood unwisely produced a self-defeating and biased movie on his famous legal battle with Zionist academic Deborah Lipstadt. (See our review in Revisionist History® no. 86, "The ‘Denial' Movie: Hollywood’s Revenge on Dissident Historian David Irving").
In the course of his address in London, Irving commends the RAF crews that flew the bombers over Germany. He advocates honors for the RAF’s Chief of Bomber Command, Air Marshal Sir Arthur Harris. We disagree with Mr. Irving’s admiration for Harris.
Nevertheless, David furnished important facts that deflate the historical myth that Churchill was “reluctantly goaded” by Harris into the criminal incineration-bombing of German cities. In fact, as Irving shows, this holocaust of German civilians was Churchill’s brainchild.
Irving provides revisionist information on the Allied incineration of Dresden, the German city which was the subject of The Destruction of Dresden, one of his early bestsellers. (The Oxford English Dictionary defines the word “holocaust" as death by fire. Consequently, it is perfectly legitimate and accurate to refer to “The Holocaust in Dresden”—as well as in all of the civilian centers of the major German cities that were criminally saturated with firebombs by the “noble Allies,” as part of their celebrated “Good War”).
The malicious British press, dripping with venom, lied with customary indifference to reality, concerning what Irving said at the meeting at the London Forum. The odious Daily Mail, in a headline in its Sunday edition, stated: “David Irving tells secret rally ‘The RAF are war criminals.”
Irving said precisely the opposite. Moreover, the “rally” was only “secret” (private) out of concern for the need to evade attacks by Communist or Zionist terrorists, which the Daily Mail would not report.
The great thing about demonstrably false media lies like the one retailed by the British media, is that they prove that the Establishment traffics in brazen deceit as the principal method by which they sustain their pious orthodoxies.

The astoundingly obtuse, Churchill-as-Sage-of-Western-Civilization folderol remains a fixture of the American Right-wing in bastions such as Hillsdale College. We may disagree with Mr. Irving on any number of historical subjects but when it comes to the Churchill legend, he is its most effective demolition-expert.
Winston Churchill, the architect of the auto-da-fe, who later disavowed his role with the chicanery that was typical of this scoundrel, is hailed on “conservative Christian” college campuses both Catholic and Protestant as the epitome of a “ great statesman of western civilization.”
Such a view is a grave failure of vision.
Dresden is in Saxony and the English are a Saxon and Norman people (or at least they were in 1945). The fratricide in Dresden was an act of insanity on the part of the British and American representatives of western syphilization. As long as Churchill is presented as a paradigm of any kind of goodness, the bipolar mentality inculcated by that fraud will continue to shackle our ability to wrangle a future for our children.
The spot where the corpses of German civilians were piled, as shown in the photo at the top of this page, is today marked by an engraved stone put up by the post-war German government. It is inscribed, “Germany brought war to the world and here it was brought back to Germany.”
Do the fools who scribbled that epitaph understand the implications of what is, in effect, their alibi for terrorism?
It was America that “brought war” to Iraq. Therefore, is it permissible for Iraqis to commit terrorism and set American cities filled with civilians on fire?
There is no excuse for targeting civilians, whether by Hitler, or ISIS in the Middle East or the British and American Allies in the heart of ancient Saxony.
Do yourself a favor by taking the time to listen to the Irving speech. You will, in the course of a little over an hour, obtain an education in the suppressed history of the air war over Britain and Germany.

At 10 p.m. on February 13-14, 1945, the Master Bomber broadcast the cryptic order: ‘Controller to Plate-Rack Force: Come in and bomb glow of red T.I.s as planned.’ The ill-famed R.A.F. attack on Dresden had begun. The target city was among Germany’s largest, but had little military or industrial value. It was a center for the evacuation of wounded servicemen, and schools, restaurants, and public buildings had been converted into hospitals.
The authorities expected that this, a city often compared with Florence for its graceful Baroque style, would be spared. By 1945 the legend was deeply entrenched that Dresden would never be bombed. It was not to be. In February 1945 with the war’s political and military directors meeting at Yalta, Mr Winston Churchill urgently needed some display of his offensive strength and of his willingness to assist the Russians in their drive westwards. Dresden just seven miles behind the eastern Front, became the victim of Mr Churchill’s desire for a spectacular ‘shattering blow’. As things turned out this, the most crushing air-raid of the war, was not delivered until the Yalta conference ended.
The city was undefended - even the Luftwaffe night fighter force was grounded. There were no proper air raid shelters. Dresden was housing hundreds of thousands of refugees from Silesia, East Prussia, and western Germany, in addition to its own population of 630,000 Up to a hundred thousand people, perhaps more, were killed in two or three hours, burned alive, that night. Yet until the first edition of this book appeared in 1963 the raid scarcely figured in the Allied war histories. A veil had been drawn across this tragedy.
Stung by foreign revulsion at this new St Valentine’s Day massacre, the British prime minister - who had ordered it - penned an angry minute to his Chief of Staff, even before the war ended, rasping that ‘the destruction of Dresden remains a serious query against the conduct of allied bombing’. It is from this remarkably forgetful minute that the sub-title of this documentary account is taken. For the first time the full story, omitting nothing, of the historical background to this cruel blow and of its unexpected political consequences, is told.

Convicted Holocaust denier David Irving addressed fascist sympathisers and neo Nazis at a secret meeting in London yesterday.
Irving,
a historian who famously lost a libel case after denying the existence
of Nazi gas chambers, was the star speaker at an event that attracted an
audience of 120 Right-wing sympathisers, including women and teenagers.
Behind
closed doors at a four-star hotel in South Kensington, the discredited
author gave a speech condemning the Second World War Allied bombing
campaign over Germany and Nazi-occupied Europe as ‘a war crime’.
Irving’s contentious speech was titled: ‘Saturation Bombing in World War II – who is to blame?’
An
invitation to the event, obtained by The Mail on Sunday, states: ‘David
Irving is the world’s MOST respected historian, he’s the world’s TOP
expert on World War II.’
But
he was widely discredited after his high-profile libel trial and being
sentenced to three years imprisonment by an Austrian court in 2006 for
denying the Holocaust.
The
secret meeting will add to concerns that far-Right groups are trying to
garner support in London and Europe amid a rise in austerity and
Islamic terrorism.
It comes
just three months after The Mail on Sunday exposed a similar meeting of
far-Right figures from around the world, organised by the same group,
who call themselves the London Forum.
Anti-fascist
campaigner Gerry Gable condemned Irving’s appearance at the latest in a
‘growing series of closed international far-Right extremist
conferences’.
Former
Spandau prison worker Abdallah Melaouhi, self-described ‘best friend’
of Hitler’s deputy, Rudolf Hess, was also a speaker at yesterday’s
event.
Also present was Arkadiusz Rzepinski, leader of the Polish nationalist party, NOP, in England.
The
invitation told those wishing to attend the meeting to call a mobile
number at 8am yesterday. Those who rang were told to meet at South
Kensington Tube station at 11am, where they were greeted by retired
teacher and known fascist supporter Michael Woodbridge.
They were then led to the four-star Rembrandt Hotel, opposite the Victoria and Albert museum.

Attendees
filed into the St James function room, which the group had booked out
in a different name, from 11.30am – some wearing tweed and blazers,
others in khaki trousers and black T-shirts with the logo of fascists
groups including the far-Right Greek group Golden Dawn.
Among
the paying attendees were British National Party members and Polish
nationalist skinheads wearing camouflage – complete with boots and
chains – who filed through the lobby past bemused hotel guests. About 10
women attended and one man brought his teenage daughter.

In
1996, Irving sued Professor Deborah Lipstadt and Penguin books for
defamation after being called a Holocaust denier. Irving lost the very
high-profile case, which cost him a reported £2 million.
At
the trial the judge said Irving had deliberately misinterpreted and
distorted facts. The judge said: ‘It is my conclusion that no objective,
fair-minded historian would have serious cause to doubt that there were
gas chambers at Auschwitz and that they were operated on a substantial
scale to kill hundreds of thousands of Jews.’
In
parts of Europe Holocaust denial is a criminal offence and in 2006, an
Austrian court sentenced Irving to three years in prison after he made
speeches denying the Nazis used gas chambers. He later said he had
revised some of his views.
The
respected historian and broadcaster Andrew Roberts said: ‘It is
depressing that such a meeting should take place in the 21st Century.
The idea of treating David Irving as a historian at all is absurd.

‘He
doesn’t have the right to call himself that. Historians think of him as
a Nazi propagandist and they have the backing of the High Court.’
Speaking
in German, with translation provided by Irving, Melaouhi told the crowd
about his time working as a prison nurse. He attended to Hess between
1982 and 1987 when Hess was held prisoner in Spandau, Germany, for war
crimes.
Hess,
Hitler’s deputy who during the Second World War was held prisoner after
his plane crashed in Scotland in 1941, hanged himself in 1987. Melaouhi
claimed Hess was murdered and released a book about him, describing him
as ‘a man of great vision, intelligence and compassion’.
In April, we exposed a similar meeting of the London Forum where the star speaker was Spanish self-confessed Nazi Pedro Varela.
He
was arrested in Austria for praising Hitler in 1992 and declared to a
baying crowd in Madrid on the centenary of the Fuhrer’s birthday: ‘There
were never any gas chambers in Auschwitz.’
Also
present was America’s leading peddler of revisionism, Mark Weber, 63,
director of the right-wing Institute for Historical Review.
Gerry
Gable of anti-fascist magazine Searchlight said: ‘This conference is
another piece of evidence of a growing series of closed international
far-right extremist Conferences.
‘The
core movers range from elderly Holocaust deniers to well-educated men
and women who are being trained in ideologies of hate and being made
ready for potential acts of terrorism.’
