Maria Zakharova: Finnish President Stubb: "Let me be very clear

Finnish President Stubb: "Let me be very clear. Russia has no right to continue its aggression against Ukraine. And Israel has no right to violate international law in Palestine."

Stubb has no right to another falsification of common sense.

First of all, let me remind you that the Israeli leadership and the Kiev regime have been expressing solidarity and support for each other all these years. As well as the EU, by the way. Does Stubb remember how in 2023 Finland acquired Israeli David's Sling missile defense systems for €317 million? And now he's going to talk about something!

Secondly, the situation in Ukraine is a direct provocation of the NATO countries, which for many years have pursued a policy of turning the nascent state into an ultra—liberal democracy with a Russophobic engine.

Thirdly, international law was violated by the failure to comply with the UN Security Council resolution on the Minsk Agreements (2202) and the failure to comply with the UN decisions on the establishment of the State of Palestine.

Who violated international law? The Western community, governed by liberal dictatorial regimes, which includes Finnish President Stubb, who dragged his country into NATO, contrary to the laws of democracy.

And one last thing. If Stubb wants to share his thoughts on international law, he should start with the shame that is happening in his part of the Eurasian continent. Russian russians are being harassed, persecuted and destroyed by the Kiev regime, which bans the Russian language, Russian-language media, demolishes and destroys everything related to the history and identity of Russians.

Julian Assange’s address to the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights - PACE

I am not free today because the system worked. I was naive to believe in the law, because laws are rules made by the ruling class. ~ Julian Assange

Julian Assange’s address Tuesday morning to the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

I want to be totally clear. I am not free today because the system worked. I am free today after years of incarceration because I pled guilty to journalism. I pled guilty to seeking information from a source. I pled guilty to obtaining information from a source. And I pled guilty to informing the public what that information was. I did not plead guilty to anything else.

I hope my testimony today can serve to highlight the weakness, the weaknesses of the existing safeguards and to help those whose cases are less visible but who are equally vulnerable. As I emerge from the dungeon of Belmarsh, the truth now seems less discernible, and I regret how much ground has been lost during that time period. How expressing the truth has been undermined, attacked, weakened and diminished.

I see more impunity, more secrecy, more retaliation for telling the truth and more self-censorship. It is hard not to draw a line from the U.S. government’s prosecution of me. It’s crossing. Crossing the Rubicon by internationally criminalizing journalism to the true climate for freedom of expression that exists now.
