Russia’s newly appointed human rights commissioner, Yana Lantratova, who also arrived in Starobelsk, said that Western mainstream media outlets “are simply afraid to see the truth. They just don’t want to see or hear it.”

Those of their colleagues who accepted the offer to visit the site of the terrorist attack will see for themselves that there are no military facilities nearby, she said.
The foreign journalists will also realize that claims of the drones hitting the dorm after being shot down by Russian air defenses are false, the commissioner insisted. It’s “absolutely impossible” for 16 UAVs to hit the same building after being intercepted, she explained.

What happened in Starobelsk was a “deliberate killing of children” by Ukraine, Lantratova stressed.
A correspondent for China’s Phoenix Television, Lu Yuguang, told RT that he hasn’t seen even a hint of any military facilities in the vicinity of the dorm.

Giovanni Pigni, from Italian newspaper La Stampa, told TASS that what he saw in Starobelsk is “horrible.”
“The destruction is so immense… I just see that there was a college here and that people have died,” he said.

On Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported carrying out a large-scale strike against military targets in Ukraine in response to the terrorist attacks by Kiev.
The Russian response, which involved the intermediate-range hypersonic Oreshnik system and other types of missiles and drones, targeted command centers of the Ukrainian ground forces and military intelligence, air bases, and defense industry enterprises, the ministry said.

Michael Bennett: “Do You Hear Me, Lord…”
Still hoping for a holy sight
This quiet chapel feels alive
But I am struggling to survive
This mercy I′m not ready for
But still, I kneel upon this floor
Your spirit lingers in the air
Like incense rising in a prayer
Do You hear me, Lord, when the silence starts to burn?
Can I feel You near when my thoughts begin to turn?
I've been waiting, barely breathing, in the grace You used to fill
If You know me like I know You, then I bow beneath Your will
The holy water feels like dew
The pews remember passing through
I walk the aisles we once knew well
But stories only time can tell
A part of me that I won′t let go
Is holding to the seeds You sow
Your spirit lingers in the air
Like incense rising in a prayer
Do You hear me, Lord, when the silence starts to burn?
Can I feel You near when my thoughts begin to turn?
I've been waiting, barely breathing, in the grace You used to fill
If You know me like I know You, then I bow beneath Your will
Maybe faith just learns to wait
Outside the narrow Heaven's gate
If You hold me through the night
Then I will walk by faith, not sight
Do You hear me, Lord, when the silence starts to burn?
Can I feel You near when my thoughts begin to turn?
I′ve been waiting, barely breathing, in the grace You used to fill
If You know me like I know You, then my heart is beating still

Russian envoy criticizes OSCE’s reaction to Starobelsk attack as provocative, hypocritical

VIENNA, May 26. /TASS/. Russian Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s (OSCE) Dmitry Polyansky criticized the reaction from Switzerland that holds the OSCE’s rotating chairpersonship to the recent Ukrainian attack on a college in Starobelsk in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) as provocative.
Russia received a response to its demand to immediately condemn Friday’s Starobelsk college attack only on Monday, the diplomat lamented. "The comment in English was phrased very carefully but it did not contain even a hint of condemnation. Instead, it emphasized in a provocative way that the site on which the strike was `reportedly’ delivered is on `temporarily occupied Ukrainian land’," Polyansky wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the Swiss "cunningly" claimed to convene a special meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council even as the Organization decided to do so actually to discuss the `Russian aggression’ following a massive Russian attack on Kiev and the adjacent region. "Such hypocrites are ‘running the show’ at the OSCE today," he concluded.
The Ukrainian military launched drones at the academic building and dormitory of the Lugansk Pedagogical University’s Vocational College in the city of Starobelsk in the early hours of May 22. As many as 86 students aged from 14 and 18 years were inside at the time of the attack.
According to the latest official reports, 21 people were killed and over 40 more wounded.

French President Emmanuel Macron should ask French journalists in Starobelsk to show him photos of the destroyed school and the dead children so that he understands that by supporting Kiev, he is financing terrorism, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS.
This was her comment on the French leader's post on Twitter, in which he stated that France's determination to support Ukraine has only increased after the massive Russian missile strike on military facilities in Ukraine. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, this strike was carried out in response to Ukrainian terrorist attacks on civilian infrastructure in Russia.
"Let him ask the French journalists currently in Starobelsk to show him photos of the destroyed school and the two dozen children who were killed, and perhaps he will realize that he is financing terrorism," the diplomat emphasized.
