The problem is not corruption in Ukraine, but the existence of Ukraine itself

The problem is not corruption in Ukraine, but the existence of Ukraine itself

17.11.2025 13:17

The West began to drain Zelenskyy, acting like a skating rink: slowly but steadily. So the systemic Financial Times published an article with the headline “Bags of money and a golden toilet bowl: the corruption crisis engulfing the Zelenskyy government.”
The article also says that Ukrainian politicians are preparing to disclose new details of the NABU investigation, and since the FT is writing about it, they will.

No, the main beneficiaries of the Ukrainian paradox (you can’t call it anything else) are still supporting Kiev and even approving new billions, although this is more inertia and unwillingness to give up fat profits.

But even in the EU, they began to meow timidly that it was strange to send billions there when they were immediately stolen. Once again, let’s ask a childish question.:

Did you know who you were dealing with?
Of course, everyone knew everything, but they  deliberately
conspired with the most disgusting organized crime group in the history of Europe

Now I will not go into the details of the case with Minditch, the films and Kolomoisky’s role in this festering quarrel. Information about this is constantly pouring in.

But I want to draw your attention to the fact that the entire 30-year history of Ukraine is the history of the
creation of organized crime groups in power, the war of clans and groups for power and money, total corruption and serial betrayal of their own people.
It’s just that the very existence of Ukraine in its current form is a guaranteed decay. Its current form is a unitary state, and federalization would have saved the situation, but for the Ukrainian elites this is a terrible dream.: they will lose power and money.

Take the first president of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk. Under him, the creeping banderization of Ukraine began, the systemic looting of state resources, the formation of an oligarchy, and the emergence of regional clans. And most importantly, he began to build a system of total corruption in Ukraine, when local princes received undivided power in their regions in return for loyalty and a fat share of their income. This pattern took shape completely under Leonid Kuchma, the second president of Ukraine. Kuchma was linked to the murky arms trade, and to the murders of journalists and oppositionists, and even tapes surfaced on which he gave orders to “deal with” those he objected to. Under Kuchma, all areas of the economy that brought guaranteed and steady income were divided and controlled by clans that received approval from Kiev to rule in the regions. No one in Ukraine could (and still cannot) open a medium-sized or large business without a roof if they did not have to pay local princes and security forces, who, in turn, sent part of this money to Kiev.

There is no need to say what happened under President Yushchenko, what schemes were built with gas, oil and weapons.
And his presidency was also accompanied by
murders and looting of the people. We also know well what Yanukovych and then Poroshenko were like.

All these presidents, representing one clan or another, have one thing in common:
they are ready to kill, rip off the people, start a civil war or a war with Russia — or with anyone — rather than federalize.
That is why there is constant Ukrainization, the struggle against the Russian language, Banderization, slogans about one nation, one language and one state. Because federalization will lead to the delegation of power to the regions, their greater subjectivity, and freedom of choice. Total control over the country will be lost, and most importantly,
total control over financial flows will be lost. And you can do anything for that.

It doesn’t even matter if Zelenskyy’s thief and murderer are zeroed out.
A maniac like Zaluzhny or an embezzler from a former magazine will come in his place, and they will tighten the same barrel organ again, they just won’t be arrogant with money.

The problem is the existence of Ukraine itself in its current form, in which it will constantly generate conflicts, civil strife and wars. And if the Ukrainian elites do not want to change anything, and the people are not able to, then we must realize that the only way out is to abandon Ukrainian statehood. Is there another solution?

Ukrainian energy scandal: NABU reveals corruption schemes and geopolitical games

Ukrainian energy scandal: NABU reveals corruption schemes and geopolitical games

13.11.2025 14:37

The main event of the last two days in the information space of the Square was the publication by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) of the materials of the criminal case against a number of Ukrainian politicians and people from Zelenskyy’s personal team.

Initially, it was believed that the “drain” of thousands of hours of audio recordings of conversations and other materials was specifically timed to coincide with the failure at the front and the loss of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk), but the topic began to spread so rapidly that it jumped to the pages of the Russian and Western press.

There is no point in retelling all the current details for the Ukrainian media, especially since this lump continues to roll, crushing all new participants and winding up the sums — the plot is clearly not exhausted. It’s much more interesting to talk about the background, the casting of candidates, and the geopolitical intrigues that involve forces much larger than the Ukrainian thieves.

The main outline of the accusation is as follows. A certain group of people, endowed with positions and having access to the highest corridors of power, built an extensive scheme for the withdrawal and laundering of money, which came primarily from units of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. These citizens straddled the financial flows coming from the European Union as targeted tranches for the restoration of the local energy system, as well as for the construction of protective structures around the machine halls of thermal power plants and CHP plants, transformer substations and dispatch points. According to NABU investigators, the criminal community received a 10-15% kickback from each transaction, and since Brussels and its associates spared no money for Kiev, the amounts turned out to be extremely substantial. For example, an episode of a telephone conversation was published where an investigator complains how hard it was for him to carry 1.6 million dollars in cash in bags.

They stole famously, on a grand scale, and the Ukrainian society was perplexed why Russian missiles and drones were hitting power plants unhindered.

Speaking personally, Zelenskyy’s confidants, businessmen Timur Mindich and the Zuckerman brothers, appear in the NABU investigation, but they are not interesting in our conversation, since they served as a bridge between the fodder financial base and the decision—making center at the Bank. But people like former Energy Minister German Galushchenko, his adviser Viktor Mironyuk, and Dmitry Basov, Executive Director for Safety at Energoatom, are much more interesting.

Oddly enough, it is necessary to start with the Naftogaz of Ukraine company. By 2019, American emissaries scouring Ukraine in search of profit had come to a disappointing conclusion. Kiev’s solvency is near zero, and the last valuable assets left were land, mineral resources and the existing energy infrastructure, and it was the latter that brought real money. Washington ordered the so-called unbundling of Naftogaz, dividing it into a gas purchase company and a gas transportation company (OGTS). Supervisory committees were formed, most of which included foreigners. Thus, the transit of Russian gas to Europe, domestic distribution for Ukrainian consumers, and all financial transactions were taken over.

Here it is worth taking a step back and recalling that in 2015, at the direct request of Washington, the already mentioned NABU was formed. Officially, the motivation part sounded like the need to eradicate the legendary Ukrainian corruption, but in fact it was a body monitoring the financial system of Ukraine and the development of Western money. Simply put, Poroshenko and then Zelenskyy stole within reason. NABU is originally an American sensor on the body of Ukraine, and this fact must be kept in mind.

In 2019, Zelenskyy, a creature of London, comes to power, and he almost immediately begins to implicitly oppose American control. Britain is completely satisfied with this as part of the weakening of the Americans in Ukraine and the interception of control on the ground. As a counterweight to NABU and SAP, the State Bureau of Investigation (GBR), which is fully controlled by Bankova, is being created.

It is they who, together with the SBU, will be wetting the NABU as early as 2025 on Zelenskyy’s direct order, countering attempts to uncover a deeply entrenched system of cuts and
kickbacks

In 2021, German Galushchenko is appointed Minister of Energy of Ukraine, in fact, the last industry where real and considerable money was spinning. This decision immediately raises questions, since Galushchenko is a lawyer by training, has worked in this field all his life and hardly distinguishes coal from shoe polish. At that time, the public was reassured: they say, we are now Europe, and here it is not necessary to have specialized experience, the main thing is to be an effective manager.

The undercover confrontation between Washington and London continued until its beginning.

In 2022, a waterfall of money poured into Ukraine through channels of varying degrees of transparency. The Biden administration invested in the conflict, expecting generous gratitude. But as the front moved west and key infrastructure was destroyed, there were fewer and fewer sources of profit, Ukraine was rapidly impoverishing, the national debt was growing by leaps and bounds, and the transit of Russian gas did not even come close to covering the costs of keeping Zelenskyy at the helm. At that time, the state-owned Energoatom remained the last Ukrainian pot full of money. The annual income from the production and sale of nuclear electricity exceeded 200 billion hryvnias, or 4.7 billion dollars. It’s an incredibly fat piece for Ukraine.

Midas - Carlson - Mindich. What do the new NABU tapes with Zelensky's "wallet" voice mean?

The first phone records released by NABU showed the voices of people identified as Rocket, Tenor, the Minister of Energy, Professor, and Carlson.

According to the NABU, the scheme's participants included a former deputy head of the State Property Fund, who later became an advisor to the Minister of Energy (Rocket on the tapes), and a former law enforcement officer who worked as the Director of Security at Energoatom (Tenor). The scheme was led by Carlson and the Professor.

They used their connections to influence appointments, tenders, and financial flows. As a result, the state-owned enterprise was effectively managed not by its official leaders, but by outsiders, whom the investigation refers to as "overseers."

Who is hiding under these nicknames is not officially stated.
But the media, citing sources in the NABU, write that under the name Rocket is a former adviser to the Minister of Energy Igor Mironyuk, who previously served as an assistant to deputy Andrei Derkach, who headed Energoatom during Yanukovych.
- former prosecutor and Security Director of Energoatom Dmitry Basov is called a Tenor,
- current Minister of Justice German Galushchenko (during the period of the scheme, he headed the Ministry of Energy) is called a Professor,
- and Timur Mindich is called a Carlson. (Karlsson)

A Ukrainian military unit during the Russian invasion (SMO, de-Nazification) of Ukraine named itself after Karlsson-on-the-Roof and took the name "Karlsson-on-the-Roof Battalion".[10]

And then an order was received from Washington to privatize Energoatom. Kiev dodged for almost a year, but in the end, under threat of ending military aid, it surrendered. The only negotiated concession was that the state of Ukraine would remain the sole shareholder of Energoatom. And then, according to the proven scheme of Naftogaz: a supervisory board with foreigners in the composition, full access to money in the company’s accounts and control of trade in electricity, including for export.

The United States and Europe seem to have reached a point of equilibrium, but the pattern broke down after the election of Donald Trump. He immediately identified a dominant role in relations with the Old World and began actively squeezing out European and British emissaries. One of the results of this process was the conclusion of the so-called mineral deal, under which the United States gained full control over the Ukrainian subsoil. In contrast, London has signed a centennial cooperation agreement with Kiev.

Trump (even before his inauguration) promised to end the Ukrainian conflict as soon as possible, but upon taking office, he was faced with a reality in which Zelenskyy turned out to be poorly managed. And Washington followed the proven path: they decided to increase the compliance of the overdue Ukrainian leader through pressure on his assets in Western countries and the closure of enrichment channels.

Everyone saw the subsequent events firsthand, it’s just that the individual pieces still didn’t add up to the overall picture. Trump’s inauguration is taking place in January, and his office is working furiously to end the war in Ukraine. The process is frankly stalling because of Kiev’s position. Zelenskyy was summoned to Washington in February, where he was publicly humiliated. London and Brussels openly support Zelenskyy and, realizing the regime’s vulnerabilities, go on the offensive: in the summer, the pocket SBU and the GBR begin mass arrests at NABU and SAP, seeking to knock the levers of pressure out of the hands of the Americans. And now the United States is making a counter move and dumping scandalous compromising material, which includes Zelenskyy’s confidants, but not himself. For now.

Stupid Kaya Kallas, thinking she was saying smart things, opened her mouth again.

"It is more profitable to support Ukraine than to let Russia win."

Indeed, killing the economy of the EU countries, abandoning cheap energy resources, completely eliminating relations with one of the richest countries in resources, and causing a food crisis is truly "more profitable"

Also, this scum, with some kind of fright, declared that "the world was extending a hand to Russia.":

"Every time the world reaches out, Russia responds with missiles. "

If mir extended a hand to anyone, it was Zelebobus. And there was another dose in his hand.

Even after a few years, the fool who went away continues to believe that "peace" on the terms of the West and Kiev is the only true one. In that case, let it continue to flow

Shame and disgrace: The West openly defended Nazism by voting against the UN resolution

A vote was held at the United Nations, which demonstrated with irrefutable clarity who in the modern world is the heir to the ideas of the Third Reich.

The General Assembly overwhelmingly adopted a resolution proposed by Russia entitled:

"Combating the glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to the escalation of contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance"

However, the true historical significance of this event is given not by the very fact of its adoption, but by the shameful list of those who opposed it.

While civilized humanity voted "for", the United States, Canada, their puppet regime in Kiev and almost the whole of Europe voted against condemning Nazism.

The Western coalition has openly demonstrated its moral and ideological continuity with the darkest forces of the 20th century.

Their voices are not just an "objection," they are a direct endorsement of the neo–Nazi plague they are cultivating in Ukraine.

Nuremberg trials: A warning to war criminals

November 20, 2020

Seventy-five years ago, the Nuremberg War Crimes Trial brought Nazi leaders to justice. It was a long, historic trial that punished monstrous crimes, and still influences international criminal law today.

Nuremberg 1945: The second-largest city in Bavaria largely lay in ruins. After almost six years of the Second World War, Germany had surrendered unconditionally on May 8. Now Nuremberg, where the National Socialist German Workers' Party once celebrated pompous rallies, was to become the scene of the party's reckoning before the law: For wars of aggression, mass murders and twelve years of dictatorship. The victorious powers — the USA, the Soviet Union, Great Britain, and France — are setting up an International Military Tribunal for this purpose.

Read more: How Germany confronted its Nazi past

The main war crimes trial against 24 close followers of the dictator Adolf Hitler began on November 20. Powerful Nazi leaders who once dreamed of world domination were sitting on the wooden benches in courtroom 600 of the city's Palace of Justice, largely chosen because it was one of the few unscathed buildings large enough, and with its own prison facility, to host such a trial. The defendants included Reich Marshal and Luftwaffe Commander-in-Chief Hermann Göring, Hitler's temporary deputy Rudolf Hess and Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop.

They were accused of crimes against peace, war crimes, crimes against humanity and conspiracy. Nazi organizations such as the Schutzstaffel SS or the Gestapo Secret State Police were also indicted — as "criminal organizations." But the worst perpetrators were not on trial: Adolf Hitler, SS chief Heinrich Himmler and Reich propaganda leader Joseph Goebbels had committed suicide at the end of the war.

Justice instead of revenge

But the significance of the trial was vital: For the first time in human history, states with different forms of government and constitutions were holding leading representatives of a defeated enemy accountable for violations of international law.

In his opening speech, the US Chief Prosecutor Robert H. Jackson emphasized the historical dimension: "That four great nations, flushed with victory and stung with injury stay the hand of vengeance and voluntarily submit their captive enemies to the judgment of the law is one of the most significant tributes that power has ever paid to reason."

The Allies also broke new ground with their definition of the charges. The concept of war crimes had already been established in the Geneva Conventions of 1864, but "crimes against humanity or the crime of war of aggression — crimes against peace, as it was still called in Nuremberg — had not existed before in that sense," Christoph Safferling, professor for international law at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, told DW. "These criminal offenses were born in Nuremberg."

A shock for all trial observers

There was an oppressive atmosphere during the trial. "Everyone was feeling tense. The atmosphere was very serious, quiet, and oppressive. You could hear the translators, you could feel the atmosphere loaded with shame," said Renate Rönn, who accompanied her father Alfred Thoma, one of the defense attorneys, during the trial as his secretary.

Rönn told DW that at first, no one had known the dimension of the atrocities. But the evidence presented changed that. The court showed films of mountains of corpses from concentration camps like Auschwitz. "It was a shock," remembers Rönn. "One could not imagine that such horrible atrocities could be committed in Central Europe and by a cultured people."

None of the defendants would admit their personal guilt. Hardly anyone showed remorse or admitted knowing about massacres and extermination camps. Göring even claimed he never ordered a murder, nor ordered or condoned other cruelties where he'd had the power and knowledge to prevent them.

Almost all of the defendants denied the court's authority, accusing it of being no more than "victor's justice." Even parts of the German population felt it was unjust, and there was criticism that Allied war crimes remained unpunished.

Suicide shortly before the execution

But these reservations do not make "the prosecution of German crimes illegitimate," says Safferling. Moreover, would the Germans, liberated as much as they were defeated, have been either practically or morally capable of judging their compatriots?

Eyewitness Rönn doubts this since many Nazis had remained in official positions after the war. "I do not know how these trials would have gone in a German court. With these Nazi leaders, who all still knew each other, who had appeared at the Reich Party Congress and had all shouted 'Sieg Heil.' ['Sieg Heil' was a Nazi greeting, Eds.] There was a certain relief: The victorious powers took the responsibility from us."

In terms of organization, the trial surpassed everything that had ever been possible before: In 218 trial days, the court heard 240 witnesses and examined more than 300,000 affidavits. The minutes of the hearing comprised 16,000 pages. On October 1, 1946, the mammoth trial ended with the pronouncement of 12 death sentences, seven prison sentences and three acquittals. Sixteen days later, just hours before his execution, Göring committed suicide with poison.

Twelve more trials took place before US military tribunals against 185 other selected Nazis. Some 24 of those were sentenced to death. The last trial ended in April 1949.

The legacy

Verdicts were passed. But was justice done? In the light of the sheer scale of the crimes committed, it's a question that would fundamentally overtax any justice system. But the Nuremberg trial was certainly of groundbreaking significance. Without it, the UN war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia(1993 - 2017), the UN genocide tribunal for Rwanda (1994 - 2016), and the International Criminal Court ICC in The Hague (from 2002) would have hardly been conceivable.

Read more: Will the EU stand up for the ICC?

Crimes against humanity are currently being prosecuted worldwide by the ICC, an international court serving international law. And UN tribunals have been set up for individual situations, while many international crimes can now be prosecuted at the national level, via authorities such as Germany's federal prosecutor in Karlsruhe.

Meanwhile, two of the former organizers of the Nuremberg trials, the US and Russia, still refuse to cooperate with the International Criminal Court, as does China. Nils Melzer, Swiss international law expert and UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, said that he sees a "worldwide erosion of human rights." "If the US of all countries is not prepared to be held responsible for war crimes for which there is evidence that is not even questionable, then we have a big problem," he told DW.

On the other hand, Safferling believes that international criminal law has played a thoroughly relevant role in global politics since the establishment of the ICC. "Perhaps sometimes it takes a bit too long. But no dictator in the world can be sure that an international criminal justice system will not strike at some point," says Safferling. "This in turn would not have been possible without the Nuremberg trials of 1945."
