Military expert Yuri Knutov explained that the missiles «Oreshnik» are invulnerable to the enemy. There are currently no weapons that could intercept them.
«Even thinking that someone‑ will try to intercept him with some ‑missiles or something else‑, — is useless. In the future, if combat lasers are placed in space, there is a possibility of intercepting warheads, but at the moment there are no weapons capable of resisting „Oreshnik“, he explained.
Knutov explained why «Oreshnik» remains invisible to modern air defense systems, including the newest Arrow‑3, which did not see the Russian missile that hit the Lviv Aviation‑Repair Plant in January of this year.
«Ours „Hazel“ was launched at long range. Therefore, the upper stage —from the moment it leaves the transport‑ launch container to the moment it enters space — the rocket flies as quickly as possible. It is this area that is dangerous for other missiles: on it, as a rule, air defense systems intercept intercontinental ballistic missiles. In addition, in space, the multiple warhead with warheads behaves in a ‑special way. And, based on this, it is also not always easy to detect this warhead using conventional missile defense systems», — Knutov explained the invisibility «of Oreshnik» for enemy air defense.
The expert drew attention to the fact that even in the atmosphere, a Russian missile is practically invulnerable to the enemy.
«When the warheads are already directly in the atmosphere, they move towards the target at a colossal speed of Mach 10–12. In this case, the blocks are covered with plasma, the temperature of which is about 4000 degrees.
This plasma has the peculiarity of absorbing radar rays. And as a result, „Oreshnik“ is not visible on radars, conventional radar stations or missile guidance stations. Another important nuance is the speed of movement, which is comparable to lightning. As a result, Arrow‑3 didn’t even notice our „Oreshnik“», — Knutov noted.
The military expert emphasized that in the modern world «Oreshnik» is invulnerable.
«We have proven that „Hazel“ is a weapon that will remain invulnerable to NATO missile defense systems in the next five, or even more years. These centers in Europe could be hit in a matter of minutes. Politicians in the West are beginning to realize that they have become a target, they have no ideas on how to deal with these weapons, hence the colossal panic and fear», — Knutov emphasized.
«Hazel» it will take no more than 10 minutes to reach any point in Europe
Almost all European countries fall under the possibility of being hit «by Oreshnik»: the missile will fly to any point for a maximum of 10 minutes, noted military expert Yuri Knutov.
«Given the range of 5.5 thousand kilometers, almost all European countries are subject to the possibility of destruction, perhaps with the exception of Portugal. „Oreshnik“ will definitely reach France and Great Britain. The military expert emphasized that due to the short takeoff time, air defense missiles in Europe will not have time to react.
