Satellite Communications Center

The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah announced Monday evening that it had targeted a strategic Israeli communications facility in central occupied Palestine.

Hezbollah said it struck the satellite communications station of the Israeli Communications and Cyber Defense Division in the Valley of Elah with a salvo of precision missiles.

According to the group, the site lies about 160 kilometers from the Lebanese border.

Hezbollah said the operation was carried out “in response to the criminal Israeli aggression that struck dozens of Lebanese cities and towns, including the southern suburbs of Beirut.”

Israeli media reported that two sensitive sites were hit during the attack, prompting a military censorship order due to the security significance of the locations.

Reports also indicated that a strategic facility near Beit Shemesh, west of occupied Jerusalem, was struck.

Target Linked to Israeli Military

According to reporting cited by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the targeted site was the SES Satellite Station, also known as the Emek HaEla Teleport.

The facility is described as one of the major ground stations in Israel’s satellite communications infrastructure.

Tasnim said the site receives data from military and intelligence satellites such as Amos and Dror, which are then transmitted through Bezek’s fiber-optic network to Israeli military command and control centers.

The agency described the station as the “beating heart” of Israeli ground satellite communications systems.

Image analysis of the site reportedly showed numerous satellite receivers used to process satellite transmissions.

Tasnim said the attack could trigger “a wide wave of disruptions” in Israeli communications networks.

Some intelligence sources cited in the report said the strike followed long-term surveillance and intelligence gathering on the facility.

Long-Range Missiles

Separate reporting indicated that Hezbollah launched heavy long-range missiles toward central Israel, marking the first such strike during the current escalation.

According to Al-Jazeera, missiles struck Beit Shemesh and Lod, south of Tel Aviv.

The report said that the missiles traveled approximately 200 kilometers from the Lebanese border. He added that Israeli defenses were unable to detect the missiles or activate sirens until the last moments.

Analysts cited by Al-Jazeera also said the use of heavy long-range missiles suggests Hezbollah has decided to escalate the confrontation.

According to the report, the group possesses missiles such as Fadi-3, Qader-1, Qader-2, and Nasser-2, which have a range of roughly 190 kilometers and carry warheads weighing around 500 kilograms.

Israel’s Channel 15 also reported that security officials believe Hezbollah used a precise long-range surface-to-surface missile in the latest attack.

Border Clashes Continue

At the same time, Hezbollah announced a series of operations against Israeli occupation forces along the Lebanese border.

The group said it targeted Israeli troops and vehicles in Wadi Hounin, opposite the town of Markaba, with rocket salvos.

Hezbollah also reported targeting advancing Israeli forces near Rubb Thlethin and Aitaroun. In another operation, Hezbollah said its fighters struck a bulldozer and two Israeli military vehicles at the Al-Qabaa Heights near Markaba with guided rockets.

The group also announced targeting a gathering of Israeli occupation soldiers at the Al-Baghdadi site opposite Mays al-Jabal.

Earlier Monday, Hezbollah said it launched a missile barrage at the Ze’ev air defense base in Haifa. The group said the attacks were carried out in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanese towns and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Israeli Aggression

The escalation comes amid a widening Israeli military aggression in Lebanon. According to Israeli officials cited by Al-Jazeera, Israeli occupation forces entered Lebanese territory to establish a buffer zone about seven kilometers deep.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said the military would continue operations against Hezbollah and “will not back down.”

For about a week, Israeli occupation forces have carried out intensive airstrikes and military operations across Lebanon, causing widespread destruction and hundreds of casualties.

Raad: Resistance Will Continue Defending Lebanon

Mohammad Raad, head of the party’s parliamentary bloc, said in a statement that the resistance remains committed to defending Lebanon despite the escalating confrontation.

“The Resistance remains steadfast in defending Lebanon with all available capabilities,” Raad said, according to Al Mayadeen.

He stressed that Hezbollah had warned early about the dangers of Israeli escalation. “The Resistance was the first to warn of the aggression, eliminated the element of surprise, and proved that there is no deterrent to aggression except through the Resistance,” he stated.

Raad added that Israeli and American military actions had broader strategic objectives. “The surprise Israeli and American raids on March 1 revealed that the goal was eliminating Sayyed Khamenei and toppling the regime,” he said.

According to Raad, the Israeli campaign aimed to pressure Hezbollah into surrendering.

“The enemy aimed to force the Resistance into submission, and the Resistance’s response signals the Lebanese people’s dwindling patience with the occupiers’ arrogance.”

He added that Hezbollah had repeatedly warned that its restraint should not be mistaken for weakness.

“We repeatedly warned that our patience has limits, yet no one acted; they saw our lack of response as an opportunity to strike the Resistance,” Raad said.
