Five fruits that stop cancer - Nämä viisi hedelmää kukistavat syövän

(Health Secrets) Scientists have discovered five fruits that stop cancer. Each has a specific cancer fighting component that shrinks tumors, and keeps cancer cells from proliferating. Unlike the drugs of mainstream cancer treatment, these components are not specific to one form of cancer, but are able to treat many forms of cancer successfully.

Five fruits that stop cancer

Pineapple – Bromelain, a proteolytic enzyme, is the key cancer fighting component in pineapple. Scientists at the University of Oxford in the U.K. have found bromelain shrinks tumors through its ability to dissolve fibrin, the protein based defense shield that protects cancerous tumors. Once that shield is stripped away, the immune system can easily eliminate them.
Bromelain has the ability to modulate key pathways that support malignancy. This anti-cancer activity consists of direct impact on cancer cells and their micro-environments, as well as strengthening the immune system, reducing inflammation, and altering the hemostatic system, making it more difficult for tumors to set up and maintain a blood supply.
Bromelain is able to normalize breast cancer cells to the point where they die on schedule in a process known as apoptosis, according to scientists at the Goodwin Institute for Cancer Research in Florida.  Cancer cells are only a threat when they refuse to die.
Scientists at the Indian Institute of Toxicology Research have also reported the anti-inflammatory, anti-invasive and anti-metastatic properties of bromelain. In mice studies they found that pre-treatment with bromelain resulted in a reduction in cumulative number of tumors and in average number of tumors per mouse. Reduction in tumor volume was a whopping 65%. Bromelain resulted in up-regulation of the anti-cancer gene p53. These scientists concluded that bromelain is protective of DNA formation, and able to prevent inappropriate cell signaling cascades.
Papaya – Papaya, is a potent cancer fighter that is highly effective against breast and prostate cancers, as well as other cancers. Papaya contains another proteolytic enzymes known as papain. Like bromelain, papain is able to digest and destroy the defense shields of tumors, rendering them defenseless to the immune system.
Recent research has found that papaya can stop the growth of breast and prostate cancer cells, halt metastasis, and normalize the cell cycle.
Scientists studied 14 plant foods commonly consumed in Mexico to determine their ability to stop breast cancer cell growth. They evaluated levels of beta-carotene, total plant phenolics, gallic acid content, and antioxidant capacity. They found that of all the plants tested, only papaya had a significant effect on stopping breast cancer cell growth.
The intense orangey-pink color of papaya means it is chock full of cancer fighting carotenoids, not only beta carotene, but an abundance of lycopene as well. The construction of lycopene makes it highly reactive toward oxygen and free radicals. Scientists at the University of Illinois think this anti-oxidant activity contributes to its effectiveness as a cancer fighting agent. Epidemiological studies have indicated an inverse relationship between lycopene intake and prostate cancer risk. They showed that oral lycopene is highly bioavailable, accumulates in prostate tissue, and is localized in the nucleus of prostate epithelial cells.
Lycopene induces cancer cell death and anti-metastatic activity, and increases levels of protective enzymes. The safety of lycopene has been heavily documented.
Prostate cancer was the subject of a study in Australia that looked at 130 prostate cancer patients and 274 hospitalized controls. The scientists found that men who consumed the most lycopene-rich fruits and vegetables such as papaya were 82% less likely to have prostate cancer.
Organo-sulfur compounds known as isothiocyanates are also found in papaya. Isothiocyanates have shown themselves capable of inhibiting both the formation and development of cancer cells through multiple pathways and mechanisms. In animal experiments, isothiocyanates protected against cancers of the breast, lung, colon, pancreas, and prostate, as well as leukemia, and they have shown the potential to prevent those cancers in humans.
Researchers in Japan clarified the mechanisms of action in a type of isothiocyanate found in papaya known as BITC, that underlies the relationship between cell cycle regulation and appropriate cell death. The researchers established that BITC exerted cancer cell killing effects that were greater in proliferating cells than in quiescent cells. Cancer cells that are proliferating are much more dangerous than cancer cells that are in a state of quiescence.
Dark grapes – Resveratrol is a recently discovered natural cancer medicine found in red and purple grapes. In early 2014, researchers in France found that one of the ways resveratrol works against cancer is by destroying tetraploid cells, fairly common but abnormal cells with two extra chromosomes, which are usually targeted by the immune system. If they escape that targeting, they wind up playing a part in several cancers, including breast and prostate.
The research team used mice bred for high risk of developing intestinal cancer, and who had more tetraploid cells than other mice. When resveratol was given, the number of tetraploid cells decreased, and with it the chances of developing cancer.
Studies at Sloan Kettering and MD Anderson have shown that resveratrol completely turns off the COX-2 driver of inflammation, the driving force for most cancers. It also works directly as an anti-cancer compound. Since its discovery a decade ago, resveratrol has been found to:
  • Stop the re-growth of cancer stem cells
  • Show anti-tumor effects with several kinds of cancers
  • Inhibit human pancreatic stem cells
  • Show efficacy for prostate cancer treatment
  • Inhibit cancer cell growth and gene expression
  • Work with the immune system to inhibit blood supply to cancer cells
  • Inhibit both estrogen positive and negative breast cancer cells
  • Show efficacy at preventing breast cancer progression
  • Increase glutathione levels
  • Improve survival in gliomas
  • Repair the cancer fighting p53 gene
  • Repair DNA
  • Work in synergy with curcumin and quercetin
Pomegranate – Another recently discovered cancer fighting medicine is ellagic acid found in pomegranates. This fruit has been shown to inhibit both cancer-causing compounds and inhibit cancer cell development and growth.
Recent research has shown that pomegranate selectively inhibits the growth of breast, prostate, colon and lung cancer cells in culture. In preclinical animal studies, oral consumption of pomegranate extract inhibited growth of lung, skin, colon and prostate tumors.
An initial phase II clinical trial of pomegranate juice in patients with prostate cancer reported significant prolongation of prostate specific antigen (PSA) doubling time. PSA is considered a marker for prostate cancer.
Pomegranate is cytotoxic to cancer cells, meaning it kills them. This has been demonstrated in lab tests on several different cell lines. Ten new clinical trials aiming to evaluate pomegranate as a cancer treatment have been registered with the National Institutes of Health. One of particular interest will focus on follicular lymphoma.
A new study of the ability of pomegranate to inhibit breast cancer metastases yielded such upbeat results that the researchers concluded pomegranate may be effective as a general cancer treatment. Researchers applied different concentrations of pomegranate to two separate breast cancer cell lines. One percent juice concentration stopped the growth of cancer cells in both cell lines, while a five percent concentration actually killed a large portion of the cancer cells. Both concentrations suppressed metastasis while not harming normal breast cells.

Berries – Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries are legendary against cancer. Each of these is loaded with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer compounds, and they are some of the most nutritionally dense foods known. Like dark grapes, berries are able to decrease the ability of the COX enzyme that powers inflammation, which in turn powers cancer.
Among the phenols in berries are anthocyanins, strong antioxidants that protect cell structures from free radical damage. Berries also contain ellagitannins, which have been found in studies to decrease rates of death from cancer.
The blend of beneficial compounds in these berries has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells with no specific
correlation to antioxidant levels, indicating that we have as yet to discover their full actions.

Among the most recent research findings in regard to berries and cancer are:

  • Blueberry anthocyanins suppresses the proliferation of oral cancer cells

  • Blueberries inhibits metastasis of triple negative breast cancer
  • Black raspberries contain phytochemicals that affect immune processes relevant to carcinogensis and immunotherapy
  • Ellagitannins have the ability to block metabolic pathways that lead to promotion of cancer
  • Stawberries induce intrinsic pathways for death of cancer cells and inhibit tumor progression
  • Berries have the ability to mediate, counteract, reduce, and repair damage from oxidative stress that leads to cancer
If you are battling cancer, a good idea would be to add several of these fruits to your daily diet.

Kookosöljy alentaa kolesterolia - Viranomaiset ahdistelevat luontaistuoteyritystä

Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps on uusi tulokas luontaistuote -markkinoilla.
Lääketieteen tohtori, tri Ward Dean on laatinut kattavan listan keskipitkien rasvahappojen terveyshyödyistä. Katsaus löytyy Nutrition Review -julkaisusta.
FDA: julkisen terveyden vihollinen numero 1

Coconut Oil Benefits: When Fat Is Good For You

You've no doubt noticed that for about the last 60 years, the majority of health care officials and the media have been telling you saturated fats are bad for your health and lead to a host of negative consequences, including high cholesterol, obesity, heart disease and Alzheimer's disease.
Meanwhile during this same 60 years, the American levels of heart disease, obesity, elevated serum cholesterol and Alzheimer's have skyrocketed.
Did you know that multiple studies on Pacific Island populations who get 30-60 percent of their total caloric intake from fully saturated coconut oil have all shown nearly non-existent rates of cardiovascular disease? (1)
The fact is, all saturated fats are not created equal.
The operative word here is "created," because some saturated fats occur naturally, while other fats are artificially manipulated into a saturated state through the man-made process called hydrogenation.
Hydrogenation manipulates vegetable and seed oils by adding hydrogen atoms while heating the oil, producing a rancid, thickened substance that really only benefits processed food shelf life and corporate profits -- just about all experts now agree, hydrogenation does nothing good for your health.
These manipulated saturated fats are also called trans-fats -- and you should avoid them like the plague. But if one form of saturated fat is bad for you, does that mean allsaturated fat is bad for you?
Absolutely not!
The Tropics' Best Kept Secret
The truth about coconut oil is obvious to anyone who has studied the health of those who live in native tropical cultures, where coconut has been a primary dietary staple for thousands of years.
Back in the 1930s, Dr. Weston Price found South Pacific Islanders whose diets were high in coconut to be healthy and trim, despite high dietary fat, and heart disease was virtually non-existent. Similarly, in 1981, researchers studying two Polynesian communities for whom coconut was the primary caloric energy source found them to have excellent cardiovascular health and fitness. (2)
Where were all the clogged arteries and heart attacks from eating all of this "evil" saturated fat?
Obviously, coconut oil was doing nothing to harm the health of these islanders.
It may be surprising for you to learn that the naturally occurring saturated fat in coconut oil is actually good for you and provides a number of profound health benefits, such as:
  • Improving your heart health.(3)
  • Boosting your thyroid. (4)
  • Increasing your metabolism.
  • Promoting a lean body and weight loss if needed.
  • Supporting your immune system. (5)

Coconut oil even benefits your skin when applied topically and has been found to have anti-aging, regenerative effects.
So, what are coconut oil's secrets to success?
How Coconut Oil Works Wonders in Your Body
Nearly 50 percent of the fat in coconut oil is of a type rarely found in nature called lauric acid, a "miracle" compound because of its unique health promoting properties. Your body converts lauric acid into monolaurin, which has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-protozoa properties. (6)
Coconut oil is also nature's richest source of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), also called medium-chain triglycerides or MCTs. By contrast, most common vegetable or seed oils are comprised of long chain fatty acids (LCFAs), also known as long-chain triglycerides or LCTs.
LCTs are large molecules, so they are difficult for your body to break down and are predominantly stored as fat.
But MCTs (7) , being smaller, are easily digested and immediately burned by your liver for energy -- like carbohydrates, but without the insulin spike. MCTs actually boost your metabolism and help your body use fat for energy, as opposed to storing it, so it can actually help you become leaner.
Back in the 1940s, farmers discovered this effect accidentally when they tried using inexpensive coconut oil to fatten their livestock.
It didn't work!
Instead, coconut oil made the animals lean, active and hungry.
Coconut oil has actually been shown to help optimize body weight, which can dramatically reduce your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes (8). Besides weight loss, boosting your metabolic rate will improve your energy, accelerate healing and improve your overall immune function.
And several studies have now shown that MCTs can enhance physical or athletic performance.(9)
And finally, as we have already discussed, coconut oil is incedibly good for your heart. The truth is this: it is unsaturated fats that are primarily involved in heart disease andtoo much sugar and processed foods, not the naturally occurring saturated fats, as you have been led to believe. (10)
Coconut Oil in Your Kitchen
Personally, I use only two oils in my food preparation.
The first, extra-virgin olive oil is the best monounsaturated fat and works great as a salad dressing. However, olive oil should not be used for cooking. Due to its chemical structure, heat makes olive oil susceptible to oxidative damage. So for cooking, I use coconut oil exclusively.
And polyunsaturated fats, which include common vegetable oils such as corn, soy, safflower, sunflower and canola, are absolutely the worst oils to cook with.
Why?
Three primary reasons:
1) Cooking your food in omega-6 vegetable oils produces a variety of very toxic chemicals, as well as forming trans-fats. Frying destroys the antioxidants in oil, actually oxidizing the oil, which causes even worse problems for your body than trans-fats.
2) Most vegetable oils are GM (genetically modified), including more than 90 percent of soy, corn and canola oils.
3) Vegetable oils contribute to the overabundance of damaged omega-6 fats in your diet, throwing offyour omega-6 to omega-3 ratio. Nearly everyone in Western society consumes far too many omega-6 fats -- about 100 times more than a century ago -- and insufficient omega 3 fats, which contributes to numerous chronic degenerative diseases.
There is only one oil that is stable enough to withstand the heat of cooking, and that's coconut oil. So, do yourself a favor and ditch all those "healthy oil wannabes," and replace them with a large jar of fresh, organic, heart-supporting coconut oil.

Teen Girl Kidnapped by the State, Forced to Undergo Chemo

By Matt Agorist on April 3, 2015

Hartford, CT — In September of last year, 17-year-old Cassandra C., received some horrible news. Doctors diagnosed her with Hodgkin lymphoma, in which cancer originates from white blood cells called lymphocytes.

Doctors then recommended chemotherapy.

Concerned about the effects of chemotherapy, Cassandra decided that she would rather seek out alternative treatment.

In an interview with the AP, Cassandra explained that she didn’t want to have “such toxic, harmful drugs” in her body, and she’d like to explore alternative treatments. She said that she understands “death is the outcome of refusing chemo” but believes in “the quality of my life, not the quantity.”

Worried about the chemo, Cassandra and her mother sought out a second opinion from Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
However, the doctors didn’t like this decision, so they contacted agents of the state to force Cassandra to do what they wanted her to do.
In November, government agents from the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, kidnapped Cassandra and placed her in a foster home. She eventually agreed to chemo and was allowed to return home. However, after she found out that she would have to have surgery to implant the chemotherapy port in her chest, she ran away.
“I felt like I had no other options,” she said.

According to the AP,
On Dec. 9, after she returned home, a Connecticut Superior Court judge granted DCF temporary custody of Cassandra, who was admitted to the hospital and forced to resume the chemotherapy.

In January, the state Supreme Court ruled that kidnapping Cassandra, and forcing her to undergo medical treatment against her will, does not violate her rights. The court stated that she was not mature enough to make that decision for herself.
Since January, Cassandra has been medically imprisoned by the state, “hoping beyond hope” that a judge would let her leave the hospital.
However, on Wednesday, a judge ruled that the 17-year-old girl must be kept in state custody until they are finished forcefully medicating her against her will.
To add insult to forced medication and kidnapping, the state refuses to let Cassandra see her mom. Cassandra has not been allowed to see nor speak to her mother since January 1.
“I cried when I found out,” Cassandra told PEOPLE.com. “I’m just heartbroken right now. Why are they keeping me from my mom? It is really unnecessary. I want to be with my mom. I’m devastated.”
In the Land of the Free, a young woman can be taken from her family and forced to undergo medical procedures against her will. In the Land of the Free, the state can take your children and keep you from seeing them. In the Land of the Free, this is called Justice.
