The shocking document: How the US planned the war and the energy crisis in Europe
THE LEAKED RAND DOCUMENT- In what appears to be an exceptional internal leak from the close-to-government think tank RAND Corporation, known among other things to have been behind American strategy for foreign and defense policy during the Cold War, a detailed account is given of how the energy crisis in Europe was planned by the United States.
- The document, dated January, acknowledges that the aggressive foreign policy pursued in Ukraine will pressure Russia into having to intervene militarily in the country. The purpose, they explain, is to introduce a sanctions package that has been prepared for a long time.
- The EU's economy, it states, "will inevitably collapse" as a result of this - and it rejoices, among other things, that resources up to 9000 billion dollars can flow to the United States, and that well-educated European youth will be forced to emigrate.

As the first newspaper in Europe, Nya Dagbladet can publish what appears to be the USA's classified plans to crush the European economy with a war in Ukraine and an induced energy crisis. An English version of the article has been published here .
The RAND think tank , which has a total of 1850 employees with a budget of 350 million dollars, has the official purpose of "improving policy and decision-making through research and analysis". It is primarily connected to the Department of Defense in the United States and is notorious for having been influential in developing military and other strategies during the Cold War.
In a document signed by RAND, under the opening heading "Weaken Germany, strengthen the USA", it is believed that there is an "urgent need" for an influx of resources from outside to maintain the American economy in general, but "especially to the banking system".
" Only European countries bound by EU and NATO commitments can provide us with these without significant military and political costs ."
The biggest obstacle to this according to RAND is the growing independence of Germany. Among other things, it is pointed out that Brexit has given Germany greater independence and made it more difficult for the US to influence the decisions of European governments.
A key goal that pervades the cynical strategy is above all to destroy the cooperation between Germany and Russia, and also France.

Green parties will make Germany "fall into the trap"
In particular, green parties in Europe are described as easy to manipulate to do the business of American imperialism.

Among other things, Baerbock has made a name for herself by declaring that she will maintain the stoppage of Russian gas even during the winter - regardless of what her constituents think about the matter and what the consequences are for the German population.
– We stay with Ukraine and that means that the sanctions will stay, also in winter - even if it will be very tough for politicians , she said at a conference in Prague recently.

"At best a total stop"
The authors express a hope that the damage between Germany and Russia will be so great that it will be impossible for the countries to re-establish normal relations later.

Ultimately, a complete collapse of Europe's economy is seen as both probable and desirable.

They further point out the advantages of US-based companies having less competition on the world market, logistical advantages and the outflow of capital from Europe, it is estimated that it will be able to benefit the US economy by 7-9 trillion dollars. In addition, the important effect that many well-educated and young Europeans will be forced to emigrate to the USA is also emphasized.
RAND denies the origin of the report
On Wednesday, RAND issued a press release denying that the report originated with them. On the other hand, there is no response regarding how the report is false or what would not be true, but simply write that you see the content as "bizarre" and that the document is "false".

Som första tidning i Europa kan Nya Dagbladet publicera vad som förefaller vara USA:s hemligstämplade planer att krossa den europeiska ekonomin med ett krig i Ukraina och en framkallad energikris. A English version of the article has been published here.
Tankesmedjan RAND, som har hela 1850 anställda med en budget på 350 miljoner dollar, har det officiella syftet att ”förbättra politik och beslutsfattande genom efterforskning och analys”. Den är framförallt kopplad till försvarsdepartement i USA och ökänd för att ha varit inflytelserik i att ta fram militär och övrig strategi under Kalla kriget.
I ett dokument signerat RAND, under den inledande rubriken ”Försvaga Tyskland, stärk USA”, menar man att det finns ett ”akut behov” för inflöde av resurser utifrån för att upprätthålla den amerikanska ekonomin i största allmänhet, men ”särskilt till banksystemet”.
”Bara europeiska länder bundna av EU- och Nato-åtaganden kan förse oss med dessa utan betydande militära och politiska kostnader.”
Det största hindret för detta enligt RAND är den växande självständigheten för Tyskland. Man pekar bland annat på att Brexit gett Tyskland större självständighet och gjort det svårare för USA att påverka europeiska regeringars beslut.

Enda sättet: ”Dra in båda sidor i krig i Ukraina”
För att krossa detta politiska hot presenterar man en strategisk plan som i första hand är inriktad på att förstöra den tyska ekonomin.
”Att stoppa ryska leveranser kan skapa en systematisk kris som skulle vara förödande för den tyska ekonomin och indirekt för hela EU”, konstaterar man och menar att nyckeln är att dra in Europas länder i krig.
”Det enda möjliga sättet att garantera att Tyskland avvisar ryska energileveranser är att dra in båda sidor i den militära konflikten i Ukraina. Våra fortsatta handlingar i detta land kommer oundvikligen att leda till ett militärt svar från Ryssland. Författarna uttrycker en förhoppning om att skadan mellan Tyskland och Ryssland ska bli så stor att det blir omöjligt för länderna att återupprätta normala relationer senare.

Behovet av att avsätta betydande mängder rysk gas för att hålla bostäder och offentliga byggnader uppvärmda under vintern kommer att ytterligare spä på bristerna. Ytterst sett bedömer man en fullständig kollaps av Europas ekonomi som både sannolik och önskvärd.

Man påpekar vidare fördelar med att USA-baserade företag får mindre konkurrens på världsmarknaden, logistiska fördelar och utflöde av kapital från Europa beräknar man kommer att kunna gynna USA:s ekonomi med 7-9 biljoner dollar. Därtill betonas även den viktiga effekten av att många välutbildade och unga européer kommer att bli tvungna att emigrera till USA.
RAND förnekar ursprung till rapporten
Under onsdagen har RAND gått ut med ett pressmeddelande där man förnekar att rapporten skulle härröra från dem. Något bemötande kring på vilket sätt rapporten är falsk eller vad som inte skulle stämma gör man däremot inte, utan skriver kort att man ser innehållet som ”bisarrt” och att dokumentet är ”falskt”.
